Inspired by a little girl and her drawings today,  I started thinking about the beginning of my love of art and fashion. I can remember at the age of seven I was drawing ladies in pretty gowns, pretending they were in a beauty pageant. I always had a pencil in hand, and as I grew older, my focus turned from ladies in dresses to creatures and skeletons. Ah....my fascination with skeletons.....my rationalization is that this was a very early appreciation for the human form....I am sure my parents were a little concerned that I was more interested in my brother's Skeletor doll than my own dolls.......

Fast forward twenty years and several jobs later.....I am finally getting the opportunity to do what I love....draw pretty ladies....and I do love it. It took me quite a few years to realize that I was meant to be a designer..... everything about it just comes naturally.....

I truly believe that the things you love and care about as a little girl are a real reflection of who you will be as an adult. You just have to follow your heart....

  1. This is the first post I've read of yours and already I see we have a lot in common. Illustration, design, appreciation for the human form, mild obsession of what some consider morbidity... Nice to make your acquaintance.
